Another improved performance tonight and things are coming together nicely. It sounded a good effort on the radio and they were just as stumped as to why the linesman give a forward pass.

To be honest, We all agreed it was a good try and thought it was going to be given, until someone pointed out the Lino was still on the line and had not walked upto the Dead Ball Line.

Close game, plenty of Ifs and Buts, but at the end of the day, Fax had the edge, Defence won it again for us. Had it been at the Stobart it could have been different,

Looking forward to the League Game, think we have plenty of room for improvement yet.

There isnt a lot of difference between Halifax and Widnes and another very close result tonight. Had the Wildbore try stood as it should have done we would have kicked on and won that game.

Bloody good eye sight from your armchair vantage point i take it

cullen has not had enough time yet and not had a chance to bring in his own players.

we wasted to many chances in attack. kavanagh had a top game tonight.

we should get the ball to our wingers more when attacking there line.

I think the better side usually pips the game, despite the bad decisions. I think Halifax are the better side.

But only just. And I'm confident that may change in the next few months. :)

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

The radio commentary team probably sit on halfway so not the best position to call it from.

I know Widnes have been in a similar position to ourselves, I stand by the fact that our team never knows when it's beaten though, look at last year, losing by 26 at Leigh, come back to win, 18 points down at fev, come back to win, 14 points down against yourselves, come back to draw. One things for certain I think every Widnes fan would swap our start of the season for theirs.
And another thing for certain you don`t win nothing at the start of the season. As some silly jock once said"it`s a marathon not a sprint".Well played tonight enjoy it but remember we have a far bigger squad than you and we are full time and that will count in the on coming season.

You certainly did not look like a full time team compared to us, someone`s not earning thier crust.

We know we don't win anything at this stage of the season and I agree it's a marathon not a sprint.

You may have a bigger squad but is it any better than ours? I'm not sure.

As for being fulltime, the extra recovery time is bound to be a bonus to yourselves. What we've got is team spirit and a willingness to put bodies on the line for eachother....fulltime training can only develop that so far as it has to come from within.

I wouldn't say you haven't won anything yet. You've beaten us twice and your fans. certainly reacted like they had won a cup final!

In all honesty there was a real turning point tonight. After Thacks had scored you looked a little on the ropes. You were tiring and we made good ground every time we had the ball. Then Thompson lost the ball and Halifax were able to clear their lines! Had we scored I think we would have gone on to win.

Well done tonight though. Either team could have won and I think Halifax just did things that bit quicker to win the the game.
