Well that's nailing your colours to the mast!
Quote:well firstly he can't be the best coach in the league if he couldn't promote either us or whitehaven
and we seem to just play boring one man rugby when clearly we do have the quailty in the backs
take the salford match for example:
we score one try in the first half from a lucky intercept after playing one man rugby AGAIN for the 40 minutes
the second half was pretty much the same apart from one time in 80 mins of rugby we pass the ball from left to right going through hands and Paddy Flynn scoring in the corner which shows we can play proper rugby
now im 15 and if a teenager can see where widnes are going wrong why can't a professional coach see this
finally in my opinion, widnes need to play even more young players and give them a chance at this level because at the minute these young local lads seem to be the only players in our squad who care about the team
I do agree about us not doing the basics. When we set up for an attacking play we are so flat it's impossible and it makes it difficult to get a passing move going. However, we do have a good bunch of players this year and I do think we will improve. I wouldn't read anything into how we performed in friendlies.
This year if McCormack doesn't cut the mustard he will be out. He has a shrewd businessman as a boss now and results will matter.
I have faith we will get better as the campaign begins and won't be calling for his head just yet.
