Had this debate many a time, but I am sure around 2004 census Widnes was about 58,000 or so, but I reckon we are talking 62-65k tbh. Barrow is a sizey place, in fairness. A bit rough, but then again so is Widnesia in parts, so probably best not to gloat too much. God I love our industrialised haven so much lads. 3 eyed fishes or not, who gives a damn, at least we have heritage, history, an industrial revolution and the first official world club rugby league champions on our CV.
