The reality is that the Lake District is only 25 minutes away, there is very little crime in the area, a fantastic coastline, an ancient Abbey and a proud industrial tradition. Barrow Raiders doesn't just represent Barrow, but the whole of South Lakes and some of Morecambe Bay as well.
You are Dave Tarry's Cumbrian cousin and I claim 5 whole English pounds.
TF and the wire said of the Widnes Vikings....Best in the World.
Im too of the opinion that we have only really played well for 80 minutes in a couple of games. If we play like we did in the 1st 40 against Haven no one in this league will live with us. If we play like we did in the 2nd forty we would be an average team in this league like the Vikings.(just keeping it Widnes for the forum. ) When we played you lot at yours, i think even you will admit we were pretty poor all through the game and didnt deserve the win.

It won't matter, the uprights will be moved to accomodate. Catalans came to the end of their 3 year 'trial' and what happened? Franchises. One season finishing 3rd and then getting pummelled in he playoffs seemed to justify keeping them. Where are they now? Back near the bottom. Oh, and the employment laws don't apply to them so they could sign that convict Bird.

Same could be said for Barrow. If we play like we did against Fax in the 1st half at home nobody will live with us. The second half wasn't so good and Fax mugged us for the win. We've improved no end since then though with Luisi, Catic, Mossop and Holt added to the squad and in excellent form.

But you were only 8 points (i think) infront at half time, we were 24-0 up at Haven, then almost blew it!

Widnes are about to complete a triple swoop ahaead of Thursdays clash with Leigh Centurions. The club have agreed deals with Darren Lockyer, Willie Mason and Sonny Bill Williams and all have secured visas. Vikings sporting director Terry O'connor said " I can already here the soiling of underpants from Barrow and Halifax" the triple signings should give the Vikings a real lift in the second half of the season and coach Cullen is also excited "Willie's a big unit and were hoping that he can crush some bones like that guy in the old james bond films (Jaws). Lockyer and Webster will work well as a combo and this will allow John Duffy to rotate with Mark Smith from hooker" coach Cullen is also looking for a big impact from Williams who he see's as a centre " Sonny will give opposition defenders nightmares as he's extremely powerful and is capable of ripping you in half and eating your bones". The Vikings next home Game is against Gateshead in two weeks time.

I mentioned weeks ago that you might be better rotating Duffy and Smith at hooker, looks like Terry has just read my post!
