Will there be enough there to make it feel like a Trump rally with everyone there out of blind Loyalty but just on their phones the whole way through ?
Can we muster a win ? Can we not lose by more than 20 to finish 11th? I’m in Hull on a trip I booked 10 months ago, HOPING that we could be in the play offs at least !
Oh well I can take back a suitcase of 80% off 2024 Merch - the season that never was !
At least we will know what we need to do to avoid the Wooden spoon. I can see Wire hitting London hard like Giants received.

I'm just hoping other results mean Beaumont's relying on us beating Catalans to secure Leigh a playoff spot. Makes it a win-win situation for us. We pull off a win and will likely avoid the wooden spoon. We lose and Beaumont's going to have the meltdown of all meltdowns.

I think they should do what the Aussies do when a player reaches a certain milestone or retires. Let them both come out together with their families, the rest of the team and a selection of ex-team mates forming a guard of honour. I'm not really one for the families before the game malarky because I think it could be a distraction but in this instance we have nothing to play for and know we are going to get massacred. I think it would be a fitting tribute to the last of the immortals and a poignant reminder of our short lived glory era. The alternative is for them walking around the pitch at the end before an empty stadium. That would be embarrassing and they deserve better than that!

Re the title and If we are drawing historical analogies for me and thousands of others it will be more akin to the relief of Mafeking because if Mafeking was relieved, it won't be half as much as we all are, come the final hooter. Indeed with our constant tooing and froing to the high court with Deggsie, Jordans enrolment at Slimming World and our new coach digging an escape tunnel back to the airport, its going to be a long cold winter before our first pre season game against Goole Vikings
