Suddenly lots of outrage about this in east hull and the media following last night's game. I'm not a fan of it but players have been doing it all season so I'm not sure why it's suddenly a hot topic. I'm pretty sure we got a couple of cards in the first Derby when Dobbins players stayed down after contact so I guess what goes around comes around.

For me there should be constant review of what is happening by the video ref and if any foul play he should tell the match ref who can stop the game and go back and deal with it. It would stop players needing to stay down if they felt some contact.

The other side of the coin is if there is head contact then it's foul play, whether or jot we agree with the player staying down. It's only not penalised in the first instance if the officials don't see it. It's just the rules being applied whether or not we agree with the rules. Any contact with the head is a penalty. If there is force it's a card. I don't really see what the issue is for the Dobbins fans

For all the criticism Tomlinson gets from the East side for peddling pro FC news, Shaw is just as bad for KR.

Find it bizarre that, as you say it's gone on all season, but Matt Shaw decides to publish an article the week Rovers lose about the 'gamesmanship' going on currently.

Little Willie has a cry and the media are all over it.

The coaches need to come together in ore season and have a proper sit down with the RLF going into next season. Failing that the RFL and refs need to use the green cards more next season.

I'm not a fan 9f the green card for head knocks as it penalises genuine ones. For me, if you stay down after a hit to the head, especially if it results in a card, it should be amandatory HIA

Strange how Shaw has so far failed to pick up on the issue of staying down when the likes of Lewis, Parcell and even Minchella have all been guilty of this very thing throughout the season so far.

For me the only way to stop this is if a player goes down and the game is stopped for a period of time then they go off for a mandatory 5 mins. This may seem harsh for genuine injuries/knocks but feel it will lead to players cutting out the gamesmanship that seems to have crept in the last few seasons. Much like the numerous penalties awarded when players ptb on an opposing player intentionally.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Also noticed on Fri night that Wilkin was nearly frothing at the mouth about it as well….arguably biggest game of the season, and the put Wilkin on who played for Rovers and Sts and let his bias shine through

They've had the rub of the green all season, plus their players have stayed down a few times this season but on Friday it didn't go their way, all of a sudden the games corrupt.

This is an issue that isnt creeping in, its fully crept in already, games being spoiled because of this issue yet here on the cabbage patch you just wanna turn it into a Hull and Rovers thing.
Maybe we should turn a blind eye and laugh when its our neighbours that get affected,

This has all come about because of the soft rule changes , Like others have mentioned , Needs clamping down on and It needs addressing in the off season .

Rovers fans need to have a bit of perspective.

Their players often wave their hands at the PTB hoping to get a penalty in their favour. Their fans screaming ‘Forward’’ at every opportunity trying to influence the referee into awarding a scrum. However, when they get a marginal decision against them, like last Friday, they are in uproar.

You can’t have it both ways. All club’s get decisions against them at some point, sometimes it affects a game more than at other times, but we all get them (Nu Brown’s sending off at Warrington; Chris Green’s ‘onside’ at Magic; and Dobsons ‘Dan Marino’ forward pass at Magic etc…)

It's turned into a Hull and Rovers thing because this is a Hull FC forum and your coach, having been on the receiving end of a few 50/50's for a change, has chosen to have a moan about it. Last time I looked Peters was the KR coach which means FC fans will comment on Rovers players and their antics.
Having seen a few of your games I would consider your players to have been as guilty of doing the very things he moaned about in equal measures to other teams.
