Discussing loop fixtures yesterday with a KR fan and he raised a good point that KR and Warrington have both played FC and London three times which gives them both an advantage. Surely the IMG/RFL/SL will make the league 14 teams adding Wakefield and Toulouse to the teams already in SL, keep Magic and that’s the 27 games and a fairer system.

No one enjoys loop fixtures we played Warrington three times this season before we’d even played Wigan.

Do agree that loop fixtures need scrapping, 14 teams, playing home and away plus magic weekend makes up the 27 rounds we currently play, whilst all on a level playing field.

with the investment and team that Wakefield are putting together, along with the potential that could be realised with Toulouse, a 14 team league would be fairly competitive

I imagine the players, IMG and broadcasters want it, but the club chairmen say no because of the loss of revenue. A 14 club League would also be an issue in terms of splitting the TV funding, unless you told Catalan and Toulouse that they are no longer eligible for the sky money. The scheduling of fixtures needs to be looked at too, I think I read that Wigan and Leeds only played each other for the first time this season at the weekend, which is crazy

Would you pay to travel to Perpignan and back thirteen or fourteen times a year?

I see it the same way, we go over there once (in summer if we're lucky) so to expect there fans to come over here every other week is crazy, plus there home crowds are great and there's always a cracking atmosphere too

Without using the phrase "they bring away fans" what do fev and Bradford offer? Fev is just a small mining village, it's already pretty close to Wakey and Cas...they can't grow much bigger as a club than they already have. Aren't they in financial trouble too after their gambled on SL last season then lost in the playoffs to Toulouse?

Bradford need to either move out of odsal to valley parade or spend a lot of money doing it up, it's an absolute dump and not a SL worthy ground. Is the supporter base still there at Bradford? Can you re-engage all those fans from the peak of bullmania and attract new fans?

Got to be Toulouse and Wakefield for me, Bradford and Fev have no financial backing too at the moment.

It was actually quite sad to see the state Odsal was in at the start of the year, almost beyond repair.

Odsal always looked great when Leeds were playing them, it was a nice summer's eve and the terraces were packed, great memories there too of the night briscoe scored 4 tries (and didnt get motm) but when ita rainy and empty, it looks dreadful
