Tony Smith speaks at todays press conference asking for fans to stick by the club through these turbulent times, no input from the owner of the Humberside outfit Adam Pearson however Hull FC legend Paul Cooke pens his views on the struggling clubs current situation.

Cookie loves to rip in since his drinking buddy isn’t in charge. He makes some astute observations that everyone else has already made. It’s a wonder Doncaster never won the lot.
All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason. -Emmitt Smith
The Hull KR media mafia are out in full force at the moment. From Matthew Shaw writing hit pieces (bemoaning how we “only” got 11K against Leigh), to Hull CC councillors basically stating Hull FC have no future (Councillor Webster in an ungrammatical tweet).
Add in Sky Sports fascination with Craven “Streat” and the love in they’ve had with the Dobbins over the last few years.
Cookie has took the Gary Neville route. Can’t actually do it themselves, so they’ll earn a living telling other people where they’re going wrong.
Just hold tight and keep our nerve. Tony Smith will get this right eventually (he’s always wanted the FC job), and we’ll hopefully be in a strong position (long after the Dobbins “power board” is broken up once the social housing has been built).

I read his comment about the 11k crowd. He obviously has some kind of agenda against us but using a 11k crowd as some kind of failure is pretty poor even by his standards.

I thought the richest club in the SL will be building a new stand rather than having a Mr Whippy ice cream van.

Indeed, surprised of all the things he could question about us against Leigh the attendance isn't really one of them, maybe he's still trying to find the Huddersfield crowd
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
