Hearing that former player Graham Evans has sadly passed away . RIP

Yes, it's always sad to hear about someone you saw playing for Hull passing away.

His time at Hull was short but I remember him in that team that bridged the gap between the 100% promotion season and the Kiwis coming over. He was a try scorer in the team that won the Floodlit Trophy on that memorable night at The Boulevard in 1979.

Sad news. I remember him playing for us too. Remember hearing he was the fastest player at the club at the time.

As mentioned, his try in the Floodlit Trophy Final v Rovers came from a Paul Woods assist. Think he knocked out two Rovers players before offloading to Evans who ran in under the sticks. That was a great night!

Thoughts with Graham’s family at this sad time.

Speedy centre. Unusual sight back then as he always wore gum shields to protect his teeth, which you didn't see much. Also great night at the floodlit game as has already been said. R.I.P.
