So. Maybe time to give some of the youngsters a game. Nothing to lose. A season what started with so much promise has fizzled out. Hoping Hodgson can do a spot of wheeling and dealing during the off season. It's the hope that kills you lol.

After ditching the Wigan game (no regrets there) going to head to Wakefield for the final game, got a feeling there may be a few playing their last game for FC. AP has to rip up a few contracts and start the rebuild quickly. Season ticket will be renewed.

Totally agree, Hookem Jude, Litten, Stavelly and a few others if fit should get a chance, in fact in situations like these, it’s probably beneficial to both sides to give numerous fringe players a game, and give their spent players the end they’ve achieved. And others like Big Chris a well earned rest.

Not for me, play to win, dont want to be going into the off season on the back of 6 defeats,it damaged the start of the season a couple of years ago when we lost all of our super 8 games.

Exactly my thoughts too Dave, they need to go all out for a win to end the season on so for me need to play the strongest 17 possible and use all 17.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Each to his own I suppose, but for me a chance to have a look at some of our kids, places available on the bus if you fancy it?
I’m out of isolation now, and able to go, we’ve got a few jaded bodies who need a rest, I’ve said many times the resurrection of the academy, and our reserves, are the only sustainable way forward, and opportunities to give them first team experience are so valuable. This game is as meaningless as they come, and whatever the result, will have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the next season.

The time for going all out for a win has long gone, this was against Leeds, Cas, Huddersfield and Salford, no matter what this result brings, it’s pure folly to think it will have any affect on next season.
But the emergence of a new Jamie Shaul with an absolutely outstanding performance, coincidentally also at Wakey are the positives you can look for, this dull, deflated, abject team of ours have ran out of chances, and I’d drop the lot of them.

I think either its double edged sword so to speak, though winning the last game I do think has much more benefit and importance than playing a young 17 and having more chance of ending the season on a loss.
