There are a number of reasons:
1. Players welfare playing matches without recovery period causes more injury
2. Fans miss out on competitive games due to players missing
3 if your team makes playoffs and you have injured players due to above, will it be worth watching a one sided match ( fans will switch off)
4 we all want the best team to win the title not one who has been given matches because of teams being unable to field a team
Please add as you feel fit but I think we need to be looking to extend I said this at the start of the season and haven’t changed my mind
All goods points raised and I agree with all of them.
I think the challenge will be, can the Grand Final at Old Trafford/Sky TV be rescheduled back to later in the year, especially if the RLWC goes ahead?
If RLWC is put back to 2022, then i’m sure there will be scope to reschedule the Grand Final back a month to allow all outstanding fixtures to be played. It would make for a more meaningful competition.
