Aussies had a much better squad in 2017 and beat us 6-0

Superstars Slater, inglis, cronk, thurston, smith and Cordner all retired last few years

England also had a much better squad back in 2017 but it wasn't good enough to beat Aussies, I also don't remember Thurston or Ingis even being in the 2017 world cup squad. The likes of Slater, Thurston and Smith all retired from rep football if I remember the following year so where very much at the end of their playing days, of those you named there's only Cordner that is a recent retiree and that's sadly down to concussions more than his age.

England current squad is a much poorer side than the one in 2017 and in comparison to the current Australian squad it really is lacking somewhat so not sure what point you are making. The Aussie team still has quality all through it as it always does, I can't even see England troubling the likes of Tonga, Samoa, PNG etc to be honest..

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Westerman is just a journeyman who has never bothered to get to any true potential

he was like J Griffin at FC - always saying that this was the season he would buckle down etc

Cam Munster v Luke Gale - mmmmm

Also slater thurston and Smith are far better than any one who's in their positions this year

Williams and Lomax be starting halves injury permitting in the World Cup with Tomkins 1, McShane and Clark sharing the hooking role plus you've got the like of Luke Thompson, Burgess, Whitehead, Sutton all to come in.
