I think all the Hull players need a pat on the back, their gesture to O'Loughlin after losing a semi-final was fantastic. It is the greatest game in the world and the respect shown by players after the final whistle is second to none.

On a serious note, it was good to see. He's been excellent servant to the game. As for all players leaving clubs or retiring this year its a real shame fans haven't been able to give them a proper send off.

In my opinion Wigan are an Exemplar to all other SL clubs. Year after year you lose key players but always seem to fill the gaps from within. Your academy is a production line that just about every club has benefited from. I remember a few years ago when throughout the season you had been decimated by injuries written off but come the business end of the season you clicked into gear and won the GF.

O'Loughlin has been a fantastic player and deserved the accolade. One thing that disappoints me is that he never had a crack at the NRL as he would have killed it over there.

You are right, although we all have our moans about this and that RL is the greatest game. Nothing come close.

Should we of signed Burgess to replace Ratu?

Not for me would likely be quite expensive, especially with swift and Scott at the club. Might be wrong but he seems to miss a few too many games aswell. Wigan don't often let good players go for no reason.

and he's not the player he was a few years ago. Looks a bit heavy to me.
