Not sure if that's what this match is called.these days but it sounds grander than a semi final.

Goes without saying that Wigan are huge favourites at 3/10 but hopefully we can replicate the effort of last week. Would be surprised if we make many of any changes unless forced to either through injury or covid. I think the question for me would be whether we have the best starting pack to weather the early Wigan onslaught - we know we got this wrong in the cup game - vs the advantage our bench had in the Warrington game. Great to be in this position though after a torrid year.

Would a Wigan early onslaught be any more dangerous than what Warrington threw at us?
Last wont make changes unless they are forced.Houghton may face the disciplinary.
i was confident we would beat Warrington but Wigan have so much pace in the backs which will cause us a lot of problems.
I like the punch we are getting from the bench so wouldnt change the starting front row.
My concern is a very good fast centre running at Fonua and whether we have another forward available who could give us something extra than Fash.
Still think Carlos is wasted at 6 but would you change a winning team?

same team apart from fash who imo offers very little, surely if jones is anywhere near fit can give us more punch of the bench, it isnt as though fash plays long min of the bench he doesnt, even Ellis can offer more if fit

I’d be happy with the same team again, however if Jones is fit he must become a serious consideration to replace Fash.

Regardless if Jones does leave at the end of the season, we have to turn out our best team. If the reason he hasn’t been available is due to a longer recovery from Covid (some people are taking longer than others), then if he’s now returned to fitness and available he should make our 17.

Carlos a doubt. If he doesn't make it and Houghton gets a ban, then what? McNamara in the halves and Cator to spell Johnstone?

IMO get everything done poss to get him on the pitch. Mac might be OK but to me he's the build of a scum half and Wigan would run at him all day. The kid has done OK and might in the future become a regular. But a big game like this would be worried . Hopefully tuime OK

We was destroyed in the first twenty odd minutes in that cup game Mrs B, this game is a real test of how much improvement has been made, as you say it’s great to be involved, a free hit almost. We can’t beat Wigan on their own ground, with all the rest they’ve had, can we.........

With the O’loughlin announcement it appears everyone, including the man himself, thinks Wigan have two games left to give him a big send off. If the crocked grub can get on the pitch, that is.
