On RL matters was interested in your comments on Steve Norton. I only saw him him play for Hull 3 times when I came from Aus to watch him play in Wembley CC finals in the 80's but saw far more of him when he he came out here to play for Manly and in Ashes Test matches. He followed another ex Castleford and Gt Britain legend Mal Reilly who also starred at Manly.
I saw John Whiteley play his first match for Hull and was a great fan throughout his playing career. He did not let me down either when he brought the Gt Britain team here in 1970 and coached them to a memorable Ashes win. This remains the last occasion that GB won an Ashes series.
