Just a week to go until the first official friendly. Assuming we won't see the likes of Jones, Ma'u, Fonua etc but sounds like quite a few players competing for spots against Leeds will be getting gametime - Bowden, Savelio, Johnstone all mentioned, think we'll see Swift, Dawson-Jones and Faraimo too. Not too sure what sort of side Halifax will be putting out - obviously they're no mugs judging by their CC run last season. Imagine the pitch will be pretty heavy, hopefully no injuries and a decent run out.

We’re planning to go, and can’t wait to see the boys in action.
Hope to see a few of the first team lads, plus some big boys too. Long time since the FC played at The Shay....can anyone remember the last game there?

I know we won 60-10 there in May 2003 with Steve Prescott scoring two tries and kicking ten from ten.

Will we see our front line team playing before the season starts, and if so in which game? i would have thought they could do with a decent hit up together. in the past this always was the pre season derby but as we don't have this i'm a bit concerned we might start off a bit under done, given the lack of match practice.

i think the pitch will be fine, not much rain for the last couple of weeks and none forecast in the lead up to the game

I would say we will see Radfords idea of his starting line up in the london game
