If we only pay him what he would be paid as a coach then it's ok by me. Wont be 1st choice for 1st team but great to be playing for the reserves and working with that group

Agree, we need to move on and build the future, Ellis doing another year in the first team isn't progress imho.

Most aggressive player in the team still, other players need to step up, looking better for next season, but more than happy to have him as back up, champion players are hard to find. He played to many games this season, which made him less effective, but still a fierce competitor when fresh

Agreed! Leadership on the pitch is enormous from him.

As JTP says aslong as the money is not too great in terms affect on salary cap I don’t see an issue. The guy is a warrior and model pro and is worth a deal to keep him around. Don’t think he’ll be playing week in week out but think he’ll be able to make a significant impact over and input over the season with a pre season under him too.
Maybe he can instill his leadership qualities on a few of the senior players.

Hes been here for years now and theres no evidence being shown of that happening
