I did'nt see the program but it reminded me of a story/memory that relates to an old version of Old Faithful. In 2005 my eldest son and wife were living in a place called Bakersfield,California. In August of that year me and his Mum were over visiting. The holiday was booked well in advance, and who would have thought we would get to Cup final anyhow,My son booked a table at a place callede the Crystal Palace, a restaurant/music venue. The Palace was owned by a ageing but still quite famous country and western singer called Buck Owens.Him and his band would do sets in between the guest artists of the day.Well after knowing the result we all went out to the Palace in a celebratory mood. After a couple of hours and a few drinks my son went and asked if he could speak to Buck about a request for him to play.Did he know and could he play Old Faithful sung by Gene Autry. Not only did he know it but had recorded it on one of his old albums. After explaining the reason and a brief history of our song,he had'nt a clue about rugby league,or the challenge cup but was keen to please these Brits, visitors to his place. When he and his band were on their next set he promised to sing it for us.When he introduced the song and the reason for it to his audience, they had'nt a clue either, he invited me and my son on stage to sing it with him .By this time the beer had turned us both into singing stars. So we got through singing Old Faithful both crying like little girls and finished off with a " come on you ulla" much to the surprise and bewilderment of everybody but us.We went back a couple of years later only to learn that Buck had passed away.

Hull will give us a tough game but the key is to silence their fans in the Threepenny Stand. We have to do this because if we do'nt they will get behind their side and lift them in a way you've never seen, heard or witnessed before.
