I'd like to see stats for red and yellow cards overall this year vs last 2-3. It's self-perpetuating. More cards given, more players seek to invite them. Game's gone soft.
All three were correct. Crusher tackle was obvious. The washy one who started by sticking his head into him and then LMS retaliates but then washy decides to go one further by kneeing him in the head and the late challenge was silly and the ball was gone and he could have pulled out or just glanced him.

Not sure what Houghton is supposed to do with Connor and Mini come in to complete the tackle.
LMS repeatedly lashing out at Fash's head!!!!
Sin bin was originally meant for technical offences.
The penalty against Connor late on for contact with the head? There would be a penalty on 3 tackles from every set if you apply the letter of the law. Its far too much of a lottery if you are awarded a penalty like this. Likewise for offside, Hull had plenty of time near St's line, yet the St's wingers and centre are stood 2 meters in front of the try line. This dictates that the ball will not go in that direction.

Hull were unlucky today and the sin binnings were crucial.
All 3 looked justified but it's still tough having 3 players yellow carded.
Washbrook for me was the worst offender he clearly saw the red mist couldn't control his anger and with the tackle long since completed he deliberately kneed a St Helens player in the face. With Houghton already in the bin he probably cost his team a win in that moment of indiscipline.

Fair comment. We knew we didn't have the individual quality to match Saints so a win was going to have to come from effort/fight and we pushed things too far.
no problems with the sending offs, but Kelly was wiped out and nothing, watch the next few matches and you will see the same thing, knees in at the play the ball, after a try has been scored etc, and nothing done,
once a black and white always a black and white COYH
all 3 sin binning's a joke , games gone soft, the masi was one was ridiculous, penalty maybe, yellow, not a chance, every single last play tackle in the NRL end with a hit like that, no problem as long no shoulder charge or head high, the refs are completely spoiling the game, and fans agreeing with them sin binning's are just helping them along.
