Perhaps the officials didn't see it.

that really does say effectively that THE rfl is embarrassed to announce that the ref , line judges and video ref on the day with the benefit of numerous camera angles and about 2 minutes of discussion between officials got it badly wrong.
it was a debacle of a game for promoting rl ON SKY tv AND A DISASTER OF A NIGHT FOR OUR SEASON GOALS
