16,500 sold by Hull and 8,000 sold by Wigan so only 65,000 will be at final lowest attendance for years

Be similar to last year's final but without the club Wembley seats added on that gave it a false figur

Wigan v Sheffield was something like 66000.

Where did you get these figures from?

If you look on the Wigan website at their tickets available (rather than the RFL site), you can see tickets in nearly every area still for sale, including the blocks behind the posts. For a team that averages in excess of 10k a game, to not at least sell that many is a really poor showing.

Going to be a bigger wall of empty red seats at that end this year than there was last year.

Its concerning for the game that its most famous club can't even shift tickets, I don't even think its due to past success either, as their appearances in finals has been more sporadic over the last 20 years and this year the final is livening up a mediocre season for them in the league.

the game is of course won on the pitch though.

No direct trains to London on the west coast line on Saturday doesn't help , but i agree looks a poor showing .

2 changes, add an hour and a half, to see your team at Wembley that isn't such a hassle. It's been advertised for ages (the disruption), National Express etc. are all running. Being generous, a direct train would add, at most, 500/600 to the Wigan contingent. As you say, a concern.
