We are one of the only sides who struggle to create an overlap as nobody takes defenders out of play. When we had the overlap last night and Sneyd opted to kick for Talanoa, it was awful. Any 7 worth his salt throws a quick pass to the centre and it's try time
regarding Sneyd not engaging defenders...
Could it be, he has lost confidence, due to no support runners??

We've certainly played our best rugby with those two there imo, although the number of basic errors in recent weeks hasnt given Sneyd too much to work with. Griffin is starting to look much better at centre too, so its not just so obvious to say stick Connor back at centre. I think next week I would stick with Sneyd. He's got the big game experience and temperament. But I would be monitoring the situation. I certainly see the arguement about him not enganging defenders well enough, but thats not what he is. He is a distributer and an organiser with a strong kicking game. I dont think we would notice his short comings so much if we had a better ball player at full back (not blaming Shaul by the way, he offers plenty in other areas). Its kind of like Richard Horne in reverse, when everyone used to bemoan his lack of organisational skills. What I would really like to see is Connor as more of a ball handling 13, I think we have enough size in the pack that we dont need an extra prop at 13, but I dont see Radford going down that route any time soon.

this would give us three pivots..
Wont happen though....
