Actually, as someone on the cas forum pointed out, his first kick hit a Hull player on the back who was in front of him so it should have been a turnover for accidental offside
Short and narrow pitches can be within RFL rules - doesn't mean they bring out the best in the game. For a SL club aiming to be among the very best a deficient ground feature that can be easily fixed doesn't make much sense.
