However, struggling to think of some venues for the wedding, that I've not been to someone's wedding at, lazaat, millhouse, tickton etc.
Has anyone on here been to any good venues for someone's wedding in the hull or east riding area that would be worth a look?
Place up in Patrington supposed to be good for the money, although had heard, fully booked for a long time, which might not be a bad thing ha! congrats by the way

Congratulations, the venues you've already ruled out are the main ones I've been to. Cave Castle used to be good but not sure as I haven't been in the last 5 years.

I'm biased as I got married there, but still think Tickton is the best wedding venue, get exclusive use of it so not sharing your wedding with someone else like Cave Castle, Willerby manor etc. Big square room so everyone can see. The bar area where you wait while they turn the room around is great and a good size, plus plenty of rooms. Not cheap though.
One bit of advice I would give you is, he a band for the night do, gets everyone going and makes the evening.

I second this. We were lucky as the band we hired were good friends of ours and we knew what we were getting. They kept the dance floor full all night and were absolutely brilliant!

Was thinking of a band for the start of the night, then moving to a DJ/Disco
