Not a Radford type winger, will be interesting to see what happens to him and how he does. I had a conversation on Twitter earlier, 4 academy internationals have left Hull in the last 6 months Lancaster, Clavering, HTW and Robbie Storey.
The last one is a concern as he is a Wedt Hull lad who has chosen to sign for Cas, I was hoping those days were over.

after re-signing Michaels, Fonua to wing plus signing Rawsthorne and Conner (who played wing against us last season) and having noggers on the books too this was inevitible. looks like we'll be re-signing Talanoa then by looks of things. no incentive for youngsters to stay at the club if they are just going to sign up players externally to be backups/next in line. think Naughton will be gone too by season end.

Should we just retain local lads even if better options are available?
If they're good enough, they'll force their way into the first team (Shaul, Turgut, Masi etc). If not, then the club and Radford are under no obligation to give anyone a chance in the first team, irregardless of their years of service in the academy, their affiliation with the club or their 'potential'.
I'd like nothing more than to see a successful team full of Hull born and raised players, but if it's not right for the club and coaching staff at the moment, then so be it. If Lancaster (or anyone else) hasn't forced their way into the team, then so be it.

I agree, there's no incentive. Unless you happen to be Logan, Turgut, Fash, Downs, Litten or Masi.......
I'll trust the judgement of those that see the players in training every day.

Good call IR having followed some of his antics over the years on social media its hardly surprising. Radford has always said keep your head down and you'll get a chance as have Massi Turgot, Fash, Downs, Litten etc speaks volumes that he's not got a sniff since last Easter for me really, but good luck to him. From social media tonight It looks like he's off to the casino to spend his severance payment.

Seems to me that Lancaster suffered from believing he was a superstar from that handful of games couple of seasons back. Think that may well have gone to his head and altered his attitude. He got a chance then seems to have stalled and reading between the lines it seems to be down to attitude. Top marks to the club and coaching staff as it shouldn't matter how good you are or think you are if your attitude is wrong and not in the ethos of the club then the door should rightly be shown.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
