We are going along nicely, bloody mean defence and a back line starting to click after adding 2 strike players in Kelly and Griffin, who are still settling in.We aren't being mentioned at all as sky are obsessed with Cas and getting the crusty sock out, also obsessed with Warringtons 5 losses,Sts losses,Leighs start,Wigans unbeaten start and Leeds revival and we are nicely ticking along, making no noises but making other teams notice.

We've started OK IMO for all the bleating about pre season schedule appropriateness - should really have won all 5 opening fixtures. But we knew we had a relatively easy opening set of fixtures. Couple of big tests coming up, looking forward to getting Watts back as the other 3 props are already in good form and seeing how we can build the fledgling partnership of Sneyd and Kelly. We went pretty much unnoticed last year until the business end and finished up with silverware and SL club of the year etc so in the end we'll get what recognition we deserve.
4 of our 5 games have been against 4 of the bottom 5 teams currently and our only loss was against the only team we've played who are currently in the top half of the table. We really should be on 10 points and we've looked pretty clueless with ball in hand when kelly hasn't played. It's good to get some points on the board but we'll know more about where we are as a team after easter

I think we have had a good start, I have seen enough of our attack in patches to say we can play, I'm more concerned about our discipline, particularly in tight games.
Defence and effort has been outstanding.
Certainly better than some where predicting after the worst per season in history.
Happy with the new signings, Kelly outstanding, I like the look of Griffin, very strong runner with good attacking awareness, upgrade on Yeaman. Connor has shown glimpses on limited hand time and offers good untility.

Well, part of the reason 3 of them are bottom 5 is that they're on 4 points. If they'd beaten us they'd have 6, so be further up the table. And of course all bar Huddersfield were top 8 last season. Kelly's played every round bar Catalans where we outscored the opposition and tossed the game up through ill discipline and stupid errors, other than that we're on 130 points for and could potentially have the best defence after tomorrow's games. Wigan is a big game, certainly, in terms of measuring where we are - last year's regular round result apart we have an awful record there but just hope we can keep it respectable. It's good for us with the likes of Leigh, Wakfield and co taking points off each other - if things pan out similar to last year we need 6 wins from the next 18 to avoid the middle 8s and 10 from 18 to go into the split in a top 4 position.

You was doing well until you said that mate - For me hes done nothing so far - if hes an upgrade on Yeaman then look at his pathetic attempt of a tackle in Heremaias try.

He needs to work on his defence, but so far this season that's the only big error in defence, others have missed tackles which cost us try's.
Runs very strongly (go forward and tackle bust stats are very good) and can get his winger away as he has shown a couple of times.
Our new signings have played a maximum of 5 games for the club and already some are moaning about connor and griffin. Give them time to settle in and develop their on field understanding with their team mates

It was a mickey weak miss. But it was early on and guilty of being a bit switched off and normally a miss that would of been cleaned up by some 1 covering but shape around him was poor as well. Of course he's not yeaman standard in D. Few are or ever have been in SL. But friday was the 1st time this yr the left got any service of note. Straight away Griffin our joint top metre man with an average carry of over 10 metres. He's not got his offload game going yet which is usually the way this early into the season. Plus did you see him in space v hudds..fast. We gain more with Griffin if you add defence vs attack together as a whole
