Having seen him play as a youngster & progress through the academy at Hull it was clear for all to see if he could make any sort of commitment to the game he would undoubtedly become a SL regular.
A coach at Hull FC many years ago told me this lad was the biggest waste of talent he ever did see & if he'd knuckled down he'd have been a GB regular commanding a top salary.
An example to all young aspiring players on how not being committed could ultimately be the worst decision of your life.
So what other players seemingly had it all yet managed to throw it all away??

Slightly too young to remember this guy, but just did a google and there's a picture of him signing his contract alongside Yeaman, just shows what different paths people take in life!

Hull sacked him because he was out injured over 6 months, that was in his contract, bit crap really, I'm sure he went to cas, but he ended up playing Union for Ionians & hessle.

Fletcher had all the makings of a good player but unfortunately every time he had a run in team injury struck. Pretty sure he ended up playing for Whitehaven but not 100%

My mate got talking to him at an amateur game. His hand was bandaged...been out the night before & came home with someone's tooth embedded in his fist.
