obviously id love to see danny or gareth win, they both do the hard graft, no disrespect to solomona but some of his tries were walk ins and are set up by gale who would have been a worthy nominee too
How amazing eh who would have thought this time last year when we were drifting to the end of the season in 8th with Houghton 'not able to pass properly' according to some on here and Ellis rehabbing from a usually career ending injury (at his age) and finished as far as some pundit were concerned that we would have 2 out of the 3 on the shortlist from Hull and that they would be those two.

I have to say i'm leaning towards Ellis. For him to be playing with the intensity that he does and to have come back from season / career injuries that he has at his age the bloke has to be made of serious stuff. Houghton has been fantastic but anybody can see the lift that we get when our captain is on the field.

Ellis for me. As much as Danny deserves it for the tackle alone, Ellis is an absolute machine. We look a completely different outfit with him on, and he brings calming influences to me when he plays, never mind the effect he has on his teammates.
