We need to put right some wrongs from last week - mainly the defensive intensity as it was more like cuddling than tackling, and what better place to do it than on the 4G pitch at Widnes after getting a battering there at the start of the season.
Interesting team selection as many players looked fatigued last week. Radford has praised Jordan Thompson on the HDM today, so that is his place assured!

Always been a fan of Thompson but thought he was poor against Castleford (like most of the team was) but he has always had a loose carry and grabs the shirt too much instead of wrapping the player up. Thought his inclusion over Bowden was the wrong choice against a big Wigan side but against Widnes, I think he'll go well as there no where near as strong as Wigans forwards.
Would seriously give Taylor a week off, as I think he's played every game this season and looks really fatigued same goes for Minichiello having a week off. Although his form is still good.
Shaul Naughton Yeaman Tuimavave Michaels Abdull (would personally bring Pryce back in, think he's had the best partnership with Sneyd) Sneyd Watts Houghton Bowden Manu Pritchard Ellis
Green Thompson Washbrook Hadley
Would leave Talanoa and Fonua for another week, don't think there's no rush to bring them back for this game.

I agree, rest Taylor and Mini this week and Ellis and Manu next week. Ideally I'd rest Houghton as well but we don't have a specialist to replace him.

They have the advantage this week and next in that they'll know what we have done both in terms of team selection and result, though I can't see them having too much trouble at Wakefield even with a few rested.

Should have rested more last week, Radford said he could see the tiredness at training so should have brought in 4/5 reserves and rested a few, too late now as the this game is too important, win this and then see how we are for the Catalan game.
