Can anyone give a short explanation on how to post photos. Done the FAQ but it doesn't load. Am going to France, Somme and Ypres, placing a plaque at Oppy Wood and would like to share. Many thanks. If it's against the rules, lock it.

Click on the Img button in your new post (above the text entry box with the bold, italics, underline etc) and put the URL of the image between the placeholders.

For example, to post the image at the top of this forum, you'd put

I'm barely computer literate so if what I say is wrong I apologise!
I think you've got to use an image hosting website to basically "get your picture online" and then you can copy and paste it's url just like ComeOnYouUll said.

I use photobucket, you've got to sign up but it's free and the app is quite quick and handy to use so it only take 30 seconds or so (once you get used to using it) to get pictures off your phone and on here then.

I assume that's the right way of doing things, it's what I've been doing for a few years on here anyway
