I'd just like to say what a pleasure it has been to watch Hull this season, a good young british coach at the helm and a great mix of veterans and youth in the team. It got me thinking as to how you've turned it around so quickly, then it hit me......The 00's Bradford Bulls blueprint. The squad has great experience in veterans like Ellis and Minichello, there is a now a massive hungry pack built around them quite similar to the one the Bulls had back in the day. Sneyd has turned into your Paul Deacon, a creative, clever halfback with an amazing kicking game, you also have your own Jimmy Lowes in Danny Houghton as a player who has always been outstanding but never really got the recognition he deserves on a national level. The icing on the cake for me was when you built the massive Bulls like backline, full of powerful aggressive backs like when the Bulls had vaikona, big les etc. This seasons Hull FC squad are also great at killing you when inside the 20, just like the great Bradford teams were.
Good luck for the rest of the season and if we (Warrington) don't win it, then I hope you do.

Appreciate the kind words.
Coincidentally, there was an article in the HDM yesterday comparing our pack to that of Bradford's pack of that era:
I watched the '99 Grand Final Gold highlights the other night, and their pack was frightening (despite losing). Fielden, Lowes & Anderson in the front row; Boyle, Dwyer, McNamara in the back row; with Forshaw & McDermott on the bench.
Then Radford, Vagana, Gilmour, Peacock came through/signed in the years after. Great pack.

I can remember when the Bulls used to come to the Boulevard and I'd look across their team, and not be able to differentiate between the backs and the forwards!. Had a fair amount of skill as well. The wingers were bigger then other teams props. They were the team to beat for a while.
Weren't our big forwards going to be our undoing this year though? They'd get to 60 minutes and blow up apparently.

Absolutely. Should also rejoice in how the fans have began to believe in, and feel close to, the club again. It's not just winning that does that, it's playing with heart and not giving up.

Totally agree. Results have been great but the unity and body language of the squad has been exceptional so far and this is important in firing up the fans. Hope we can attract back more lapsed fans as there's little the club could be doing better right now.

Club and players have done all they can this year, for sure. Have a feeling the Catalan game could be a watershed moment in bringing back some lapsed fans.

Don't want to be a party pooper but Bulls cheated their way to any success during that period. There's a reason they had both a massive pack and amazing backs.
We have a great amazing pack but we question our backs at times.
Bulls were Salary Cap Cheats ! I don't recognise their success.
