Great ground to go to especially if the suns out, our defence doesn't worry me at all, & cas are leaking points, if we go well with ball in hand we win. We have no injuries either. Happy days.

It a win win for most on here as Cas are their "2nd" team coached by our nxt coach in waiting and coaching supremo Powell. They have been found out this season.

The team selection will be interesting given last night's win and with the Cup game six days later.
We have all but guaranteed a top four place at the split which brings four home games. Does Radford take a chance to rest Taylor, Mini, Manu? A long way to go in the league but the Cup is our biggest game of the season, IMHO.

A few guys look like they could use a rest. Obviously we want to give ourselves the chance to win every game, but you've got to look at the big picture, if our cup run goes as we hope then we won't get a week off all year. I would quite like to see:

How is Sneyd? Seemed to be carrying a hamstring at one point last night or was that simply playing for time?
Can't see Michaels being rested. He and Noggers got a real battle on their hands against each other. One gets a knock the other comes in and neither put a foot wrong all season. So I can't see Michales giving up his spot next week. Maybe bring Pryce in, but Sneyd and Carlos need more game time together. Thompson was unlucky last night to be left out. I can see him coming in maybe for Mini who ran himself to a standstil last night.
Amazing how we seem to just carry on.
I was discussing with a colleague this week how I feel we will really benefit come the business end of the season as we are not (apparently) having to play players with knocks. No injections. Not much strapping. Must surely give us an advantage come September / October. Do players only notice knocks when the side is struggling?

No. Push hard on all fronts till 23rd round. Further ahead the easier the super 8s will be. Could end up with a scenario were we'll only need 3 wins to be in semis. Frees up opportunity to rest and freshen at the true business end. If a cup semi or final should happen would give us great scope to move around the squad

If we win 5/5 (very difficult I know) we will, based on last year, already have 4th sewn up. Indeed if Saints continue to struggle we could be mathematically safe in the top 4 before a Super 8's ball has even been kicked.
The beauty of this squad is that we can rest half a dozen top players and still go out and get results.

I was working that out earlier today. Didn't want to mention it, but it is a distinct possibility. Given previous years were we have said "I can't see were our next win is coming from" I guess we could be saying "I can't see where our next defeat will come from". But we as Hull fans are realists if nothing else. Or persimistic. One game at a time. All runs come to an end. But I'm sure enjoying this one.
