Nominated for Super League Player of the Month along with Sandow, Todd Carney, Rhys Hanbury and Tom Johnstone.

IMO he's really stepped on this season to be a genuine gamebreaker. Particularly pleasing given the tales about him never pulling on an FC shirt again a few weeks ago.

Pleased for him , As I said in another thread about him . I think he's got the potential to be one of the greats in his position , Long way to go yet mind .

As an attacking FB he's up there with the very best, elusive and plenty of speed.
if I had a criticism I still think his defensive positioning and reading of what's going on in front could be improved. That said he is very good under the high ball and a more than decent tackler.

He should watch videos of Wellens and further back Kemble, not sure I ever saw Kemble not reach a kick and dropped less than a handful ever, his one on one tackling was extraordinary.

If Shaul ever gets mentioned (in the future) in the same breath as a Keegan or a Kemble then he should be very very proud of himself.

Fair points and tbh this could be said about nearly every full back in Superleague and quite a few in the NRL.

Tackling for a full back seems to be a thing of the past.

The only one I've seen pull off a good tackle recently was Hardaker against Cas on Thursday.

I thought Shaul was virtually unplayable yesterday and we created space for him to use his pace. When he didn't have space he put in some deft little kicks, one of which created a try for Yeamo.

Class act is Shaul. My only slight concern is temperament. He has shown petulant moments I think in the past. I hope I am wrong about this, but he also strikes me as someone we will lose to a bigger club when the time comes

Only to an nrl club if hes ambitious enough, or if we dont want him anymore, been very good so far this season

The only answer to that (as is the case with keeping any good player) is to become a bigger club ourselves.

does anyone think international honours could be a possibility in the near future. hardaker and tomkins in front of him, though tomkins could well move into the halves when he comes back

while he is a brilliant try scorer from long range and kicks through near the line if you look closely at the wire game you will see a couple of occasions when he fails to take the passing option near the line - one time inside to danny houghton when he would have walked over - and danny lets him know about it bigtime. also should have given simple pass to lancaster once.

we bombed a good few chances v wire ( as mentioned by lee crooks on commentary) and this is making hard work of reaching our full attacking potential.

he has massive potential to be international class but still things to work on and attitude has been questionable if you look at last seasons concerns and what radders has eluded to before.

overall it was brilliant to see the the 11 hull lads come through on monday... testament to Adams investment in the academy and a master stroke by radders to use the young lads with the legs to play 80 mins when many of the seniors would have struggled to pull off what we did in last 15 mins. having said that Ellis is totally exceptional - 8 months out and comes back 100% fit and gives 110% every time... immense leader. must be good for another season - get him extended asap.

Like Lineham, Briscoe and Westerman?

I know what you're saying mate and I hope we get where Zucchini says and become the big club ourselves.
