Did anyone else go? main positives for me was that it was nice and warm and didn't cost me anything to get in. Other than that not a lot really. Totally outplayed and out thought by a bigger, faster saints side. Some poor efforts in defence across the board today and I was a bit disappointed in a half back pairing of HTW and abdul, who didn't really offer much. Oh, Turgut did well in his 2nd spell culminating in a good solo try for him.
I'm not sure how experienced overall the saints team was but they did have shannon mcdonnel and andre savellio playing - savellio was a real handful at times.
I think we should treat these games more like a reserve team fixture than U23's and players not getting a game elsewhere that weekend should be playing. I think the inclusion of a couple of more experienced players would really help bring along the youngsters.

Yeah went, was a nice day weather wise wasn't it? I was absolutely mafting! Haha
Wasn't exactly great quality from us was it? Not sure I can pick anything positive out at all. Slow at the ruck, predictable in running lines and passes. Thing I noticed the moat I think was the choices made on last tackle, really poor kicks just attempting to dink over the saints defenders which tended to just go into their hands which led them to just sprint 90 metres and score, none of our players really caring much to give chase. I think it was Lancaster who chased on down but cos no one went with him they just scored on their next play...
Worst of all was those bloody rock hard chairs in the stand, Jesus they were uncomfortable, got bloody sore bum. :-/

Agreed, the only thing I gained from yesterday was a tan. As you say the last kick options were awful and there seemed to be no plan that they were playing to. I think the referee deserves a mention (for being bloody awful). Lets hope they all learned something from the game.
