Would Tamou have got 10 minutes if the punch and subsequent melee had not happened? Probably not and play would have just continued.

What you are saying is that Tamou was sin binned because he got punched after his bitch-slap but as the Cas players didn't react, Pritchard wasn't sin binned?

Either way frank shouldn't have done it. Stupid and cost us. IMO I thought he would get yellow card.

From what I saw of Hicks it looked like he'd signalled that Milner had raked his (Pritchards) eyes?

Having watched it again, there is a camera angle from behind the try line that shows McMeeking go across Frank's face in the tackle - Milner is holding Frank down by the collar

I agree with the sentiment though, Tamou 10 minutes for a pretty weak slap, Pritchard nothing for a similar, if anything firmer "slap".

It was hardly "striking", he never intended to actually hurt milner. It was controlled red mist - if that exists.... so a grade A formal warning would seem fair?

I am saying Tamou got binned because the whole incident became more than just a slap. Galloway and Tamou were already pumped trying to prove who is the hardest. You could sense something was going to kick off.

Frank`s was totally out of the blue and totally out of character. Him and Ellis seemed to be indicating some foul play had gone on but don't think that is evident from the camera angles.

Whilst it was obviously a penalty against Pritchard the only thing I can think of is that no other players have reacted and caused a fracas. In Tamou's case his slap led to someone throwing a punch and other players kicking off

That's hardly Tamou's fault though, is it? So if the Cas players had done a bit of shoving and chest-beating Pritchard might have got ten minutes.
