That's what last night felt like. Too many times I've left the KC thinking I hadn't really got my moneys worth, but last night felt different. Credit to the players for their efforts during the game, but big raps to Pearson and all those involved in the prematch build up last night.
Thought the lights, and more so the song choices for the show, were great and really built the atmosphere. Having the previous North East corner group now in the south east is possibly a blessing in disguise. I don't remember singing so much at a game for a long time. The players look up for it, the fans look up for it, roll on the rest of the season!

Loved it, a much improved prematch routine. Just need the Cas Tigers cheerleaders and someone who actually tries to kick the ball into the boot of the car.
The only downside was a few Salford fans causing trouble and whichever imbecile who's in charge of the stewards decided that with only 15-20 minutes to go it was too late in the game to throw them out.
The end of the match was ruined due to this. It's a spectacularly moronic idea putting away fans so close.
Apparently this is down to the Safety Officer. This is the same cretin that upset Middlesbrough fans when she was there.
So, Sue Watson is getting a pretty strongly worded email next week.

AP said in just programme notes that the charge for the lights isn't cheap so no guarantee of using in the future. But he also mentioned the relationship with the SMC is "ever-improving".

Yeah I spoke to James Clark on Thursday when I got a sneak peak and the SMC are trying to charge him a four figure sum for every home game if we want to use them.

Not sure it needs to be every week, it was would be nice, but v costly. Some sky games would be good, and maybe for some of the big boys. Was great though!
