Thanks for this weeks diary Wilf. The trips around the old grounds was certainly evocative, I remember going to Station road to watch FC play Widnes in the cup and Barley Mow to widen and extend my drinking experience, that was after all the reason most Hull fans went to away games - to sample different ale.

A great read as ever Wilf, as the others say particularly enjoyed the stories about the grounds in the old days. My dad, who was an avid Black and White, worked on the railway so we had free travel in the late 40's and early 50's and were able to visit just about every ground. Some ramshackle affairs no doubt, but wonderful memories.
