Could go several ways for Callum this year, is he still eligible for 19s? Obviously has Talanoa and Fonua ahead of him, but with either of them potentially playing centre, unless he goes on loan I'd think/hope he gets chances. Certainly got pace and an eye for the line. Could be one to really benefit from regular 23 games vs Saints/Wigan/Wire to bring him on.

I'd prefer it if the coach was picking the starting 17 on who impresses pre season as opposed to reputation and/or previous form. If that means Lancaster or any of the other young lads get a start in the first few games then surely they'll have deserved it. We absolutely cannot resort to what has happened previously with out of form/can't be arsed or just not good enough players being picked ahead of hungry youngsters. The super 8s and a fair few games during the season showed us that won't let us down.

Probably because - without altering our ego - we were the only media source who gave a rats ar*e about the U19s last season. Lancaster's hamstring injury one of worst we've seen, had a race night last April, Callum was one of the guests and spent whole night hopping around, couldn't put pressure on the injury and spent weeks on sidelines. Says a lot about him that he still came!
