Another one that's been the victim of the 19s/dual reg fiasco. He's simply had nowhere to play which is at the level he needed to develop and has taken an opportunity elsewhere. Can't blame him and we've had a few do the same this year.

I'd take this to mean the u23s won't happen.

well the u23's can only really happen if other superleague clubs want it, if there aren't enough teams to form a meaningful league then you can hardly blame pearson. if a league goes ahead without hull, then that is a different matter.
