That would be a great signing if true but really can't see anything in it tbh
Well you may throw your rock and hide your hand Workin' in the dark against your fellow man But as sure as God made black and white What's down in the dark will be brought to the light
If I remember rightly and in exceptional circumstances overseas players can be exempt from the rule when they lose their job in this country, if that rule still exists that is. Can't remember the exact circumstances or which player it was but they did become exempt and signed for a club that had a full overseas quota and this has been in the super league era. Was it they'd signed for the crusaders they went bust before he got to play for them but as he had a SL contract the rfl made him exempt. Sure I've not made this up or even if it would apply to Carney but still can't see him being at Hull.
If Justin Carney stays in SL, it'll be worth watching his team's next fixture v Cas. I imagine Sky may figure that that particular fixture will have a certain amount of interest.

"In fact, the days of us signing any players from across the river are over. Our fans are loyal, passionate and only interested in one club. Taking players from our nearest rivals doesn't fit in with that brief."
