Well at least we have saved the South Stand which was on the cards to close too, the SMC wanted to do it for 2016. That would have been a disaster so well done to the Club for staving that off. .The fact that Adam Pearson paid a lot of cash out this season to keep the North Stand open made this an almost predictable move when you look how we are having to 'cut our cloth'. The SMC have absolutely no idea on providing a service at all, but I guess at the end of the day money talks.

I actually agree with the SMC on this. We currently have 8-9k people (official crowd numbers of 10k+ are clearly a nonsense) rattling around in 4 stands that seat approx 20k. Shutting the North Stand still leaves approx 7k empty seats. It may actually help the atmosphere as the middle of the East stand in particular is like a morgue these days.

Doesnt our "watertight" (as some put it) user agreement stipulate the SMC should provide the lower bowl for a set fee, and as and when the need arises the upper west is open.
So we will be having a reduction in our fee to the SMC, or taking legal action against them.
