Think it's worth its won thread to take about the game rather than the incident, bit worried as we seem to slipped back into some old habits and the last two games has seen some really disappointing performances from a few players.
Looking at the stats, we made 16 errors compared to their 9, there players also a lot made more metres than us from about the same tackles.
Some really poor stats from a few players, Sa's are appalling, people moan about Yeaman, but he wouldn't have missed 6 tackles and made only 35 metres from 9 drives (AG 3.89), been poor this year after a good start and needs dropping, also the average gain from some of the forwards is really poor, Watts, Green and Thompson.
Big few games coming up and really need to improve our intensity, handling and be more composed in attack.
This would be my team for Friday
Shaul Lineham Yeaman Talanoa Naughton Pryce/Rankin Abdul Green Houghton Paea Ellis Whiting Westerman
I agree with the above it really is time to drop those players not performing. We're never going to know how good Abdul is going to be unless he gets more game time so I'd go with him too. Not sure what the deal with Lineham is either so be interesting to see if he's recalled/recovered.

Radford did mention that Lineham was available for selection this week.

The recurring theme, is our execution in attack is constantly killing our effort.
In an interview Radford states "When we get the ball we have to be more clinical. That isn't something that is fixed up on Monday's training session or Tuesday's, that's something we have to get better at mentally as a group.
This comment in my opinion, that the current coaching team are unable to rectify our execution in attack in contact.

Stats can be misleading sometimes - Watts had a good game again yesterday and his work for Houghton's try was outstanding. Our first half errors in their 30 were the killers - we couldn't maintain any pressure. Some of them came from forcing the offload (Mini in particular) and this is the other side of the coin when attempting to play expansively. It needs sorting out for sure but we were in that game right up until the last play despite not being at our best so it's not all doom and gloom.

Big turning point was Hicks finding a penalty for a strip when Watts absolutely smashed (insert name i've forgot) in their 20 on the 4th tackle. Also made me laugh when a bit further on Hicks had his whistle in his mouth before Leeds had even played the ball to get us offside.
As for the game in general, people wanted us to start playing a higher risk style of rugby, you can't then complain when mistakes happen because of it.
2 of Leeds' tries were quite exceptional. It was 5 tries to 4 as well. Not a bad effort at all and certainly better than the utter collapses we've had there in the last few years.

Seemed like a one on one to me at the time.

It doesn't help our attack when Sneyd constantly runs sideways without pulling in defenders to him. yes he will get hit at times but part of his game that needs rectifying.
