Not my cup of tea but anything that raises the profile of the city is good news in my book. Well done to all concerned.

Agreed, anything that raises the City profile and is positive for Hull is good in my book also.

Councillor Parnaby will obviously try for reflected glory for the East Riding.

It's great news and has already given the city national publicity. Ferens is an excellent gallery and a worthy place to hold the Turner Prize.

2017 will be brilliant for Hull, hopefully everyone gets involved and attends as many events as possible.

Best get collecting some used tampons and durex if the rubbish from the past history of winners is anything to go by.

Exactly....il be going to as many as I can.Art isn't my cup of tea at all but il pop along for a look.Caught the back end of look north and people moaning already.Ive been to Liverpool before and after they got city of culture,I know which I prefer....it's a cracking City and I hope our legacy is the same

Didn't Liverpool get European City of Culture though whereas Hull has got UK City of Culture? Got to be a lot more funding for the European.
