International Chairman
We're all smarting from Thursday's performance, it's dented the enthusiasm of the fans and the confidence of the players/coach/owner as well I should think.
However our season is far from over, top 8 is still a possibility (until it is mathematically impossible) but for me the next two games will be as crucial as any in the last 17 years since we re-joined the top flight.
win one or both and not only does it restore some of the faith of the fans but it will help rebuild any lost confidence and relieve pressure from the players (as stated by LR). It also moves us in the right direction up the table and allows us to reconsolidate on injuries without feeling the need to force players back early.

Lose both games however and I think it could be something we might not be able to recover from (league position wise). It's real concern for us even after only 4 games, if after the next two we still only have one win we will really be behind the 8 ball, pressure will mount even more, fear of failure makes it even harder for the players mentally and regaining that lost ground will be so so difficult.

At this moment in time I'm annoyed, frustrated and fearful that things aren't going to work out, that not only if we do miss the 8, we'll be going into the middle 8s on a low ebb all round.
I really wish I could have more confidence in LR but I don't, but we do have some talent that can defend well and even has some signs of being decent in attack. Maybe, just maybe we can pull off a win at Wigan, just scrape by a point in whatever ugly fashion possible, get the players on the up and get the fans happier (if only for a week!)
I know I can sound like I'm on a downer on the club & LR consistently but right now is the most testing point, think positive thoughts, send messages to the club to pass onto the players that we are willing them on, to never surrender and
COYH

I really don't know what to make of Wigan. I expect us to get beat but then again I've seen absolutely nothing from them this year to be worried about, they look an average team. Its our own failings that are the concern. They certainly don't look capable of turning it on like Leeds did last week.

We should beat Catalans at home. They rarely travel well and they are without Carney. If we are going into that one thinking we have no chance then we are doomed, because on paper that should be one of the easier games this season.

Cats game is a 5 day turn around 2nd of 2 consecutive away games for them. I'd have to fancy ourselves. Us n wigan are very similar at the moment only being at home n used to success probably puts them under even more pressure. Winning both is as equally possible as losing both given the circumstances

Wigan if nothing else will be physically tough and we may be down on numbers on muscle up front. We usually don't do well there but going in with the right attitude and Hull won't be without hope. Catalans obviously need respecting but a team with any pretensions of the top 8 should be looking at beating them at home, they don't travel well and shouldn't provide the same threat at KC that Warrington & Leeds did. I would think the fans would have every right to be cheesed off if Hull lost to them.

i'll be looking for improvement against wigan, regardless of the result and a win against catalan. anything but and radford will have to start to face questions (as if he hasn't already)

The referee's indecision is final

I think we can beat Wigan, they are very hit and miss this year, certainly the weakest Wigan team for years. Catalans have improved and I aren't as positive about that game but it will be close and we could get something out of it, 2 wins is a possibility.

Surely they will stay in Hull for the week ?

I'd have thought so. But still not ideal for them. Gotta be hard living out the hotel on the back of a short turn around. Ideally you'd want your own facilities for physio purposes, training, food etc. Plus I imagine you get pretty stale just hanging about waiting for games in Hull in march.

I expect us to reap the whirlwind at Wigan on Friday. Its a hard enough place to go to at the best of times but Wane will have been beasting them all week and they'll be really fired up. We will be ravaged by injuries and suspension and the players will know we rarely get a result there (except when we are playing effectively their U19's)

Hopefully we can manage a win at home to Catalan.

First there was wisdom
Then there was knowledge
Now there is only information

Don't think they will stay in Hull
Aircharter direct to Humberside or Doncaster and return same night more likely.
