Thanks for another great read Wilf.
Crooks - like so many other poor coaches who only game they have is grunt down the middle, Radford will never appreciate Crooks. Sadly just like Agar before him, these fast talented backs like Crooks (who was fine in Gentles team) will continue to be a scapegoat for their coaching inability. The current recruitment just reminds me of the Kear/Agar era. Radford will recruit his team only to find out (as we all already know) that they will be to slow and predictable and won't be able to penetrate a paper bag, never mind a top SL defence. We can predict just like Briscoe, Crooks will be replaced by another older foreign player. But don't forget everyone it's all about a youth policy.

Another excellent diary Wilf bringing back memories of Greg who for all who were there it was an unforgetable night that we all remember in different ways, for instance from a fan near me, what the flipping heck (paraphrased) does Nolan think he's doing with that lot.

Thanks Wilf once again a good read. Interesting stuff about Leeds and their gates. I'd have one question though. They maintain league gates at an envious level, but cup and play off games, what happens then? Still never get why people buy a pass and watch all the league games, but then miss the "glory games" The loss of Bluey is certainly very sad. There is now some great heros from the 80s and 90s plying their trade on the other side. Toppo, Dean, Woods, Precky, Wileman, Sully and now Bluey. All gone far too early.
Beneath the rule of men entirely great, the pen is mightier than the sword.
