If anyone is thinking of purchasing the new shirts just by going on the size stated on the shirts (so as not to spoil the surprise ho ho ho) and not having them tried on BEWARE! My lad is 11 next month and, althought slightly taller than average, body wise his very slim. I got a friends lad, who is of very similar build, to try one of the new away shirts on and even an age 16 was way to small. I would challenge any average 16 year old to get one of those shirts on, they've no chance. I had to get him an adults extra small which then bumps the price up due to having to pay vat. I don't know who they've modelled the sizes on but I think 7 of them are in panto somewhere at the moment.

Went today and picked up a nice new Retro top for myself. My 4 year old got the 6 year old away shirt and my 8 year old a 14 shirt. Sizes are ridiculously small like the home shirts last year. Also be careful with these shirts as unlike last seasons away shirts the logos are stuck on (similar to last seasons home shirts) and i expect them to be fading and peeling off quickly.

Know what you mean, I'm normally a small and have been in the home and away shirts but this year the away shirt was noticeably tighter around the chest and the arms whereas the size small home shirt was pretty much a perfect fit, glad I tried it on rather than just assuming to get them both in a small.

its obviously a money making scam, how many extra adult size sirts are they going to sell this year to fit the larger built kids/teens who would have been buying or had bought for them the kids size shirts,iv never bought a shirt larger than an xl untill this year when my new shirt arrived by airmail to oz two weeks ago and had to send it back to exchange for a 2xl.

Well they were made in China. I've just been on holiday there and went shopping one day to buy a shirt. I'm of average hight and build but felt like Gulliver walking about looking over the heads of the locals. As for the shirt at home I'm a L sometimes XL. Tried on some XXXXL shirts and they wouldn't go near me.

And they wonder why on line sales are slow. Its precisely for this reason why my family will not be getting a shirt each on the 25th. I was told they had resolved this problem but clearly not. I am not in Yorkshire again until Boxing Day so the kids will have to wait. My 4 year old had aged 8 last season. He is not small but neither is he terribly big for his age. They have to sort this out as families with 10 year old + kids will be paying so much extra as they have to buy adult shirts.
