So when newt on took out tansey and whiting ran 60metres, he was put on report. Rightly so as the ref was probably following the ball and may have missed it.
But what I want to know, do the rfl look at the whole game and will they take into account him taking Yeamen out off the ball when Tansey scored? To me that was a far worse hit as the ball wasn't anywhere near him and you can clearly see him speeding up and raising his arm.
This isn't a dig at rovers tactics etc I just want to know the procedure.

IIRC apart from "on-report", the clubs can cite an incident to be looked at by the match review panel, as can the MC, ref & VR.
Given the nature of Friday's match, I imagine the match review panel will be spending some time watching the tape and I would not be atall surprised to see a few more than Newton getting inviatations to visit Red Hall
