In it she says 'We spent to a salary cap maximum...ahead of this season.' Obviously losing Crocker left some cap space, but how did we sign Lauaki and Tansey and pay off Byrne if the cap was full?

Lauaki will have come out of Carvell's wage. Byrne's salary was already accounted for. Tansey will have come out of Crocker's wage.

Well that one's easy. He was already on the cap she's saying was towards maximum, and his payoff will almost certainly have been less than the value of his remaining contract.
And she may well have been including Lauaki in that too, bearing in mind he signed in February so will have most likely been in negotiations before the season started.

I had thought that James Rule said we were below the cap but I may have misread that.

Sorry Brother. I like reading your posts normally but surely even you can see that your constant pulling down of every aspect of the club is becoming tedious? I know things are far from perfect but you're beginning to sound like Bighead.
