Except for This Sporting Life and Up 'n' Under, there have been precious few films that have featured the sport of Rugby League. However some time ago I was asked to send a copy of my first novel 'One Winter' to the Pinewood Studios so is there to be another?
On Saturday (June 13th) I will be in Hull in Waterstones signing copies of both 'One Winter' and my fourth novel 'One Autumn' which is set during the 1992/93 season against a background of Work, Family Life and Rugby League.
Both novels are inspired by the old saying about work "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller". Much of my content comes from places I have worked at as a draughtsman over the years and so there is a local connection because in the 1970s I worked at Blue Circle Cement, Reckitts and Myson Radiators.
A present for Fathers' Day for someone maybe.

Wasn't there one years ago about the first ozzie tour to GB? I'm sure ET and dennis waterman were in it with big taches

It was an ITV special made after the success of the football First World Cup story.

There were a few other Aussie players in the RL story but I can't remember who now.

There should be a film along the lines of 'Mike Bassett'...am sure there are a few situations at FC that could be used to get a laugh

You could make a film about Threepennies in 70's / 80's and no-one would believe it.

That golden waterfall from the back of the stand would look good on the big screen !!
