I'm no mystic meg but I could tell from the way we warmed up that we weren't interested today, players strolling into tackle bags like they were having a stroll around a Caribbean beach, not preparing for a cup tie.

why do we as a team never have a 3rd gear? under Kear, Sharp and now Agar we always seem to manage to play well against the 'top' sides, yet struggle in games we are favourites.

I put all that down to lack of professionalism from the players, there is clearly no desire to succeed in the squad, everyone from 1-17 looked like they'd rather be elsewhere today.

to me, it seemed they,(fc players) thought the game was won before they played

Simple explanation. We take the cheap option when it comes to coaches. We have a squad more then capable of winning silverware, but we have a poor attitude when it comes to any team that's below us in the league.

I don't think it is just the coach, this has happened under Kear, Sharp and now Agar, all 3 can't be completely usless.

under Mcrae it was the opposite, we'd win the lesser home games (and usually quite stylishly) but then struggle to beat the top sides.

Its a factor i look for also the warm up.
Sometimes you can get a vibe from it or sense how much the players are up for it.
